01 / WHO

Ojixa is new. The engineering behind it is not.

The firm is young on purpose. The record is not: production systems for Fortune 500 platforms, national-scale infrastructure, and three products of my own that the team and I keep running. One architect who owns the decisions, senior engineers who build and operate.

Martin Chuka O.

Martin Chuka O.

PRINCIPAL

Twelve years shipping production software, most of it on systems that could not go down: a Fortune 500 commerce platform serving millions, a national-scale microservices backbone, and a live migration of millions of records with no data loss.

Most of that was spent inside other people's engineering organisations, most recently as a Software Architect at Crossover. Ojixa exists so the same work is available directly, without an agency layer.

How it works in practice: I take the problem, write the architecture, and stay accountable for it. A senior team builds and operates alongside me. You get one person who owns the decisions and a bench deep enough that the work does not stop when one of us is asleep.

02 / PRACTICE

Systems that hold money, and hold up.

Two problems keep coming back: commerce platforms that have to stay up while they change, and marketplaces where the platform holds the money until both sides are satisfied. That is where twelve years went, and it is what the work below is made of.

P-01MARKETPLACES AND CUSTODY

Hold the money until both sides are satisfied.

Escrow-mediated marketplaces, end to end. The hard part is never the booking flow, it is what happens when someone says the work was not done.

03 / WORK

Three we run. Twenty-plus I shipped.

Client work is under NDA and described by shape rather than name. The three below are not: one US, two Nigerian, mine or co-founded, built and kept running with the same team.

Parental leave, handled. Role-aware flows for employees, managers, and HR admins, on top of a policy engine that models each company's own leave and benefit rules. Multi-tenant from the first commit, so an HR team can run it without a spreadsheet or a lawyer on standby.

E-05ACCESS CONTROL

Bedside patient app with role-scoped access on shared ward devices

A ward-floor app where patients sign in at the bedside to see care videos and medications assigned to them personally. Ward attendants, nurses, doctors, and patients each reach only what their role permits, and a patient record stays isolated on a device the whole ward touches. Built to HIPAA technical requirements for handling PHI, with staff assigning content per patient rather than exposing a shared library.

Shipped to live wards. Four roles separated by policy, and no patient able to reach another patient’s record from a shared device.

Twenty-plus engagements led in total. Full technical write-ups on any of them, sent on request.

04 / METHOD

No line-by-line spec required.

Bring the goal. We write the plan, and you own it whether or not we build it. The risk we remove is the six figures most teams spend before anything is deployable. Phase four has no end date.

  1. PHASE 01

    Frame

Thirty minutes on a call. We leave with the problem in one paragraph you agree with, and a view on whether we are the right shop.

  2. PHASE 02

    Architect

We do the thinking before the building, and write it down. This is Model 0, and it is the only phase you can buy on its own.

  3. PHASE 03

    Build

Weekly deployable increments in your staging environment. Progress is something you can click.

  4. PHASE 04

    Operate

We stay on. Monitoring, runbooks, and the pager, run by the people who wrote it. Handover to your own team happens when you have hired one, not at launch.

05 / WRITING

The reasoning is the portfolio.

Most client work sits behind an NDA. The decisions do not. Read how we choose here, and ask for the full technical write-up on any engagement above.

06 / ENGAGEMENT

Diagnosis first, then a shape.

Floors, not quotes. Cost moves with scope and integration count, so the first thing we sell is the work that establishes both. You keep that document either way, including when we tell you we are the wrong shop.

07 / INTAKE

This is where we both decide.

Not a lead form. Four answers is what we need to tell you whether this is our kind of problem, and to write you something useful if it is. Two of the six are optional and we will not chase you for them.
